About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Technical Report Writing (ENG1112 C00) during the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa's Main Campus. The course focuses on the writing of technical reports, including exposition, argumentation, presentation of technical data, and effective communication. It involves frequent written exercises, development of composition skills, and required use of Writing Centre resources outside of regular class hours. The course is taught in English and has an expected enrollment of 110 students.

Requirements

Ph.D (English)
Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
