Requirements

Ph.D (English)
Competence in English (language of instruction)
Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
Ability to apply using the worker profile in Workday if currently an active employee of the University of Ottawa.

Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

Teach Technical Report Writing (ENG1112 E00).
Practice in the writing of technical reports.
Cover topics including exposition, argumentation, presentation of technical data, and effective communication.
Assign and evaluate frequent written exercises.
Develop students' composition skills.
Require students to use Writing Centre resources outside regular class hours.
