About The Position
The Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CMN3102-B00: Quantitative Methods during the Fall 2026 semester. This course will survey and apply major quantitative concepts and techniques relevant to communication studies research, including computer analysis of data, descriptive and inferential statistics, questionnaire design, and statistically testing hypotheses through survey administration. The course will be offered in person.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication (preferably) or related discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of quantitative research methods in the field of communication studies.
- Knowledge or expertise in the use of quantitative data analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Survey and application of major quantitative concepts and techniques in the context of research questions and problems relating to communication studies.
- Computer analysis of data.
- Review of descriptive and inferential statistics, measurement, questionnaire design.
- Administering a survey to statistically test hypotheses.
