About The Position
The Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CMN1148-B00: Introduction to Organizational Communication during the Fall 2026 semester. This course studies the basic concepts in interpersonal and organizational communication, including processes and communication networks in dyads, small groups, and organizations. The course is scheduled to be offered in person on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The expected enrollment is 220 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025 rates), which does not include vacation or statutory pay. These rates are applicable until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid thereafter. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.
Requirements
- PH.D. or M.A. in communication (preferably).
- Professional experience or expertise directly related to the course content.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
