About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY2174: Research Methods and Ethics. This course covers the methodology and ethics of research, including research protocols, experimental and non-experimental designs, documentation, and writing style. The course is scheduled for the Fall 2026 semester and will be delivered in person.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Research Methods and Ethics)
  • Competence in a second language (passive)

Nice To Haves

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Research Methods and Ethics (PSY2174, Section F00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an anticipated absence.
