Registration Representative
About The Position
The Registration Representative arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and individuals receiving hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures. The role ensures patient information is collected and patients are informed about hospital policies and procedures. The representative interviews incoming patients or their representatives, enters required admission information into a computer database, distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments, and participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. The position is with the Registration Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The schedule includes varied days and hours, weekend and holiday rotation, and 48 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience dealing with customers.
Responsibilities
- Arrange efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and people receiving hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
- Collect patient information and explain hospital policies and procedures to patients.
- Interview incoming patients or their representatives.
- Enter required admission information into a computer database.
