Registration Representative
About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registration Representative for the Registration Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The role arranges efficient, orderly admission of inpatients and people receiving hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures. It ensures patient information is collected and patients are informed about hospital policies and procedures. The representative interviews incoming patients or their representatives, enters required admission information into a computer database, distributes relevant information to ancillary departments, and participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. The position is based at Avita Galion Hospital. The schedule includes varied days and hours, with weekend and holiday rotation, for 48 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience dealing with customers.
Responsibilities
- Arrange efficient, orderly admission of inpatients and individuals receiving hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
- Collect patient information and ensure patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
- Interview incoming patients or their representatives.
- Enter information required for admission into a computer database.
- Distribute appropriate information to ancillary departments.
- Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
