About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is hiring a full-time Registration Clerk. The clerk provides timely, accurate information and direction to patients and visitors while protecting patients’ rights to privacy. The role monitors the security of entrance and exit doors, answers the phone, performs filing and other unskilled business-office functions as directed, and participates in activities as assigned. At the time of registration, the clerk obtains and collects patient consent signatures, demographic information, and insurance billing information while maintaining excellent customer service. The position works Wednesday through Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Basic knowledge of computers and related functions.
Ability to prioritize workload effectively amid frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
Ability to handle conflict professionally and maintain a professional demeanor.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of patient registration and health insurance is preferred, but not required.
