The Registrar is responsible for coordinating and managing curriculum (CU) and continuing education (CE) records and registration processes. This role involves maintaining the integrity of permanent student records, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and managing the security of all records. The Registrar also monitors registration to ensure maximum funding, tracks funding sources for correct billing, and collaborates with the Business Office on fees. Key responsibilities include processing drops, adds, and withdrawals, managing grade posting and changes, coordinating de-registration for non-paying students, building classes, processing applications, and evaluating student transcripts for transfer credit. The position serves as an internal auditor for co-requisites and pre-requisites, manages the registration email, communicates with faculty and staff, and upholds college policies. Additionally, the Registrar verifies graduation eligibility, assists with graduation ceremonies and credentials, ensures timely submission of census information, and supports beginning and end-of-term processes. This role also involves creating publications related to admissions and graduation, updating the college webpage, and assisting with student correspondence. The position requires working evenings, weekends, and off-campus as needed, attending training, and serving on college committees. The Registrar also acts as a backup for reports managed by the Director for Admission and Records and performs other duties as required. This role directly supervises the Assistant Registrar, interviews and trains new staff, plans and directs daily work, provides performance evaluations, and resolves issues.
