Registered Nurse (RN) for School Nurse, Field Trips & Bus Rides.
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is seeking compassionate per diem Registered Nurses to provide 1:1 care for children with special needs during transportation to school on school buses, and to work as substitute nurses and on field trips within the New Brunswick School District. Bus assignments may include morning rides, afternoon rides, or both; each ride is paid for a minimum of two hours regardless of its actual duration. Field trips and substitute school nursing are paid hourly. Full-day substitute assignments are typically 6–7 hours covering school nurses’ offices. Assignments are flexible, ranging from one to five days per week. Nurses with school nursing experience may ask about a float nurse position.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of New Jersey.
- Pediatric experience required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in skilled care is preferred.
- School nursing experience is relevant to the float nurse position.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to children with special needs during school-bus transportation.
