Registered Nurse (RN) for School Nurse, Field Trips & Bus Rides.
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is seeking compassionate per diem Registered Nurses to support children with special needs in a one-to-one capacity during school bus transportation and to provide substitute school nursing and field-trip coverage within the New Brunswick School District. Bus assignments may include morning rides, afternoon rides, or both, and nurses may work from one day to five days per week. Each bus ride is paid for a minimum of two hours, regardless of its actual duration. Field-trip and substitute school nursing assignments are paid hourly; full-day substitute assignments are typically 6–7 hours covering school nurses’ offices. Nurses with school nursing experience may ask about the open float nurse position. The role offers flexible assignments and the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of New Jersey.
- Pediatric experience required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in skilled care is preferred.
- School nursing experience is relevant to the float nurse position.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one nursing support for children with special needs while they travel to school on a school bus.
