About The Position

The Bus Driver transports residents throughout the covered service area of Blacksburg and Christiansburg. The role includes helping residents and caregivers with limited mobility safely board the bus, including assisting wheelchair users. This PRN position is for 16 hours per pay period and involves working evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Hold a currently valid driver's license.
• Have an excellent driving record.
• Be reliable and capable of working independently.
• Have excellent time management skills.
• Be able to lift, push, pull, and bend, with a full range of body motion to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Have hearing and vision within normal range, with correction if needed, to drive safely and observe and communicate with passengers.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents throughout the covered service area of Blacksburg and Christiansburg.
• Assist residents and caregivers with limited mobility in safely boarding, including wheelchair users.
