About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work in Pre-Op and PACU at IU Health Eagle Highlands Surgery Center, a multidisciplinary surgery center in Indianapolis with technologically sophisticated operating rooms. The center operates Monday through Friday and does not require weekend or holiday work. The schedule is three 10-hour days, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a flexible day off. Operating room experience is required.

Requirements

• Operating room experience is required.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
• An active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license is required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is required. Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience; exceptions require review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
