About The Position
IU Health Eagle Highlands Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its operating room. The multidisciplinary surgery center in Indianapolis has fully equipped, technologically sophisticated operating rooms. The center operates Monday through Friday and does not require weekend or holiday work. The schedule is three 10-hour days, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a flexible day off. Operating room experience is required. The role offers the opportunity to build a nursing career in a supportive, collaborative, patient-centered environment. The position is intended for a nurse with an active qualifying RN license and required life support certification.
Requirements
- Operating room experience is required.
- Associate of Nursing (ASN) degree required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license required.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program required. Candidates who did not graduate from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Additional advanced Life Support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.
