About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work at Riley Outpatient Surgery Center, a teaching facility within Riley Hospital in downtown Indianapolis that treats pediatric patients across multiple surgical specialties. The ambulatory surgery center has six operating rooms and operates Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1730. Nurses work as part of a close-knit team focused on providing excellent care and a positive experience for pediatric patients. The position is listed as part-time days and requires operating-room experience. There are no weekends, holidays, night shifts, or call shifts.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN).
• At least one year of operating-room experience.
• Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute-care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Life Support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient-care policies.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Two years of operating-room experience preferred.
