About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work in Pre-Op and PACU at IU Health Eagle Highlands Surgery Center, a multidisciplinary surgery center in Indianapolis with fully equipped, technologically sophisticated operating rooms. The surgery center operates Monday through Friday and does not work weekends or holidays. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a flexible day off. Operating room experience is required.

Requirements

• Operating room experience is required.
• Associate of Nursing (ASN) degree required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program required. Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.
