Registered Nurse - Telemetry - F/T Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health provides safe, individualized patient care using current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care. The role includes communicating with patients and the healthcare team about patient status, care delivered, and treatment plans; administering medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies; and maintaining ongoing point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations. The nurse also provides education to patients and families to support health, wellness, and disease management, and collaborates across disciplines to support safe patient discharge and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
- At least 6 months of nursing experience, or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
- BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire one within three years of hire.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong accountability for improving patients' and caregivers' lives.
- Exceptional focus on teamwork.

- Ability and passion to provide high-quality, patient-focused care.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care according to current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care.
- Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members about patient status, care provided, and treatment plans.
- Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
- Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations of care in the point-of-care electronic record.
- Educate patients and families to support health, wellness, and disease management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary patient discharges to support safe transitions and continuity of care.
