Registered Nurse - Telemetry - F/T Days
About The Position
Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time day-shift telemetry role. The nurse delivers individualized, safe, high-quality patient care based on current evidence, nursing policies, and standards of care. The position includes communicating with patients and the healthcare team, administering medications using bar-scanning and documentation technology, documenting patient assessments and care in the point-of-care electronic record, educating patients and families, and coordinating multidisciplinary discharges to support safe transitions and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Current, valid New Jersey nursing license.
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
- At least 6 months of nursing experience, or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
- BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire a BSN within three years of hire.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Accountability for improving the lives of patients and caregivers.
- Strong teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and ability and passion to provide high-quality, patient-focused care.
Nice To Haves
- One year of telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Telemetry/ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized nursing care in accordance with current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care.
- Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members about patient status, care provided, and treatment plans.
- Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
- Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in the point-of-care electronic record.
- Educate patients and families to support health, wellness, and disease management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary patient discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
