About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The role applies the nursing process to patient care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population; performs assessments and reassessments; develops and coordinates individualized care plans, including discharge planning; directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care in the assigned clinical setting; and delegates appropriately according to others’ job descriptions and competency levels. This is an Emergency Room position in Marlborough, scheduled for 24 hours per week on the day shift. The position works every other weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• Current BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
