About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. This role is in the Emergency Room in Marlborough, with a scheduled evening shift of 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. for 24 hours per week. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday. The nurse provides and manages care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. The role includes assessing patients, developing and coordinating individualized plans of care—including discharge planning—and directing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care in the assigned clinical setting. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately based on others’ job descriptions and competency levels. The position works indoors in a patient care environment and is classified as medium work. Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- Current BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
