About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment at one of its Iowa communities. Available shifts are first shift, 6 a.m.–2 p.m., and second shift, 2 p.m.–10 p.m. The role supports unit operations, resident safety, and high-quality care while working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Requirements
- Hold a valid RN license in good standing that is valid in Iowa, or be able to activate an Iowa license.
- Hold current, valid CPR certification.
- Have knowledge of federal and state long-term-care regulations and laws.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and treat them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit and promote quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate with residents and families about care needs.
- Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
