About The Position

The Atrium at Rocky Hill, a Benchmark Senior Living community specializing in memory care, is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse (RN). The RN delivers nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment and works alongside a supportive team of associates. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every other weekend, with starting pay of $40.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Current state RN license and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN program, as required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous experience working with elderly people in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in residents’ behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
• Direct and supervise Resident Care Assistants’ daily work assignments.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their jobs.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources as required by state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and know when to call for backup.
