RN Registered Nurse Part Time

About The Position

Putnam Farm at Danvers is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The nurse will work as part of a team supporting residents and associates and building lasting relationships with both. This is a part-time position with day hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or evening hours from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The listed pay range is $35–$39 per hour.

Requirements

Current state license as an LPN.
CPR certification.
Graduation from an approved LPN program, according to state requirements.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
Previous paid or volunteer experience working with elderly people is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
Observe and report significant changes in residents’ behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, as required by state regulations.
Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their jobs.
Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
Balance service demands with support for resident independence.
Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, including financial exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources as required by state regulations.
Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and know when to call for backup.
