About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Registered Nurse provides compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. This part-time, day-shift position is at Select Specialty Hospital-Tulsa. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The hospital provides an extensive RN orientation program, flexible scheduling, and potential opportunities to move into a full-time role. The posting also describes a minimum per diem requirement of four shifts in a six-week period.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
