About The Position

Putnam Farm at Danvers is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The nurse works as part of a supportive team and helps build community and lasting relationships with associates and residents. The position is part time, with day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., paying $35–$39 per hour.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program, per state requirements.
• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous experience working with elderly people in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
• Direct and supervise Resident Care Assistants’ daily work assignments.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their work.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with support for resident independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, including financial exploitation, and report it to appropriate sources according to state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and know when to call for backup.
