About The Position
Dubuque Specialty Care, an 84-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Dubuque, Iowa, is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse. The role provides direct nursing care to residents and supports clinical operations, resident safety, and quality care. Available shifts are 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Compensation includes a competitive wage and shift differentials.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate it.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
