Registered Nurse (RN) Nights
About The Position
Heritage Specialty Care, a 171-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is hiring a Registered Nurse. The role provides direct nursing care in a skilled nursing environment and supports daily clinical operations while promoting resident safety and quality care. Full-time and part-time night shifts are available from 6 PM to 6 AM. The nurse administers medications and treatments, monitors residents and responds to changes in their condition, collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, communicates with residents and families, and documents care in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards. The role requires adherence to infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols. Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
