About The Position

Southridge Specialty Care, an 82-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Marshalltown, Iowa, is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time overnight position from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The RN provides compassionate direct nursing care, supports unit operations, and works with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to promote safety and quality care. The role requires an Iowa-valid RN license (or the ability to activate one), current CPR certification, knowledge of long-term care regulations, and a commitment to treating others with empathy and respect.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate an Iowa license.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
