About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. The role supports daily unit operations, resident safety, and quality care while collaborating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. The position is available full-time or part-time on night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM across Care Initiatives’ skilled nursing communities in Iowa.

Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate it.
• Maintain current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and treat people with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit and promote quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate with residents and families about care needs.
• Document care accurately according to clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
