About The Position

AmeriCare Plus is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to complete initial client assessments and supervisory visits for people receiving personal care services in their homes. The PRN role offers a flexible schedule, with nurses arranging visits around their availability and potentially grouping appointments by location. It does not involve bedside shifts or hands-on skilled nursing. Visits serve seniors and adults with disabilities, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Compensation is per visit or hourly for office and administrative work: $65 per initial assessment, $55 per six-month reassessment, $30 for a missed visit when the client is not home, $30 for an in-service or training class, $20 for an occasional aide clinical orientation, and $20 per hour for office or administrative work. An additional $5 per visit is paid for clients located more than 30 miles from the office. The service area includes West Point, New Kent, Lanexa, Williamsburg, the Middle Peninsula, and surrounding areas.

Requirements

Active Virginia RN license or a compact license valid in Virginia.
At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital, home health, rehabilitation, or similar setting.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients' homes.
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
