In-Home Caregiver - West Point
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring CNA, NA, and PCA caregivers to provide in-home personal care to a male veteran client in West Point. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday and alternating weekends, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The posting also states that full- and part-time caregivers are needed and that schedules may include weekdays, weekends, or overnights. The role pays $17 per hour, with weekly pay available for up to 40 hours per week. No pets are present in the client's home. Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA certification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Dementia experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support mobility and transfers, such as transfers from bed to wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior.
