Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Night
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides patient assessment and collects health data with input from patients, families, and other healthcare providers. The nurse coordinates the plan of care to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate; communicates clearly with customers in person, by phone, and in writing; and individualizes patient and family teaching to address assessed learning needs. The role also participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and maintains professional knowledge of current nursing standards, laws, and regulations. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position at the Arlington Heights, Illinois location. The schedule is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with every third weekend and rotating holidays.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
