About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Rehabilitation Hospital of Katy, a new hospital opening soon. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The role includes planning, coordinating, and providing patient care, interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The RN may also perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties when applicable. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment; BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
