About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a per diem (PRN) Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role provides critical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including patients recovering from cardiac surgery. Nurses can select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations to secure shifts in advance. Available 12-hour shifts are days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT and nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM CT. The hourly rate is $82.64.

Requirements

• Two years of pediatric ICU experience within the last five years; experience may be in CVICU or PICU.
• Active and unencumbered Minnesota RN license.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Active PALS certification.
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric CVICU experience is preferred.
• Cardiac surgery experience is preferred.
• Epic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to infants, children, and adolescents, including post-operative cardiac patients.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips, ventilated patients, and invasive lines.
• Respond rapidly to changes in patients’ conditions and participate in emergency response.
• Support and educate families.
• Document care accurately in the EHR.
