About The Position

Experienced Registered Nurses are needed for per diem opportunities at a children's hospital in the Sacramento, California area. Positions are available in Medical Surgical (Peds) and PICU. AM and PM shifts are available, and nurses can use an app to select shifts, with automatic shift confirmation.

Requirements

• Pediatric experience is required.
• At least 2 years of acute care pediatrics experience in the relevant specialty within the last 5 years.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active, unencumbered California Board of Registered Nursing RN license.
• Active BLS certification from the AHA only.
• Active ACLS certification is required for Peds, PICU, PACU, Peds Pre-Op, and Peds OR.
• Active PALS certification is required for Peds, Med/Surg, PICU, PACU, Peds Pre-Op, and Peds OR.
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination.
• MMR series or titer.
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.
• Physical examination within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in pediatric units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
