About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a per diem (PRN) Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in a Minneapolis pediatric hospital. The role provides critical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including post-operative cardiac patients. Nurses select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations and the ability to schedule ahead as shifts become available.

The position offers day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT and night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM CT. Shifts are 12 hours long, and the stated hourly rate is $82.64.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of pediatric ICU experience within the last 5 years; pediatric CVICU or PICU experience is specified, with CVICU preferred.
• Active and unencumbered Minnesota RN license.
• Active BLS certification; AHA certification only.
• Active PALS certification.
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.

• CVICU experience.
• Cardiac surgery experience.
• Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to infants, children, and adolescents, including post-operative cardiac patients.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips, ventilated patients, and invasive lines.
• Respond rapidly to changes in a patient's condition and participate in emergency response.
• Support and educate families.
• Document care accurately in the EHR.
