Registered Nurse - CVICU
About The Position
Saint Luke's is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the CVICU (Critical Care Unit) at its Saint Luke's Plaza location. The role is for a natural leader who goes above and beyond for peers, patients, and patients’ loved ones. The nurse will work with a supportive, solution-focused team and leadership that encourages mentorship, knowledge sharing, celebration of successes, and continuous improvement. The position emphasizes doing the right thing and providing patient-centered care. The schedule is night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days per week, with schedules written 8–10 weeks in advance. In the hospital setting, the nurse uses the nursing process, provides and delegates patient care, supervises other patient care staff, and coordinates care for assigned patients in consultation with other healthcare team members to support optimal outcomes. The nurse is expected to demonstrate proficiency and follow applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of applicable experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Strong time management, teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process in the hospital setting.
- Perform patient care and delegate patient care tasks.
- Supervise other patient care staff.
- Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
- Consult with other members of the healthcare team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
