About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work in the CVICU for 36 hours on night shifts. The schedule includes weekdays and some weekends, with rotating holidays and up to six weekend shifts per four-week schedule period. Weekend shifts are Saturday/Sunday for day shift and Friday/Saturday for night shift. The estimated patient ratio is 1:1–2. The nurse is required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

The posting requires BLS and ACLS, Epic experience, and skills in IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines. Two years of cardiac ICU experience and previous travel experience are preferred.

Parking information: WMC permits provide 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage and are available monthly for $224.80 or for 100 days at $748.58. WB permits cost $196.20 per year and provide access to the 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays and West Campus WB/WC lots 24/7 with shuttle service. CXS permits cost $393.96 per year and provide access to the 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays and Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7. WB and CXS annual permits require upfront payment and are not available monthly. Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits; current and prior months are not refundable. Permits must be canceled by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month to avoid the next charge. Refund checks may take 3–5 weeks.

Requirements

• BLS certification required.
