About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. The role is with U of L Rehab Hospital Frazier Brownsboro, a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, dedicated to treatment and recovery following severe injury or illness. Its rehabilitation programs support patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

The position is full-time on the day schedule, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. The hospital aims to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of the people it serves through individualized physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
• Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Deliver care appropriate to each patient’s condition and age.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete and revise interdisciplinary care plans for assigned patients.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
