About The Position

The Cardiac Rehab RN provides medical coverage for Phase II and III Cardiac Rehabilitation participants during exercise sessions and education classes. The RN also provides medical coverage for the rehabilitation department during Rapid Responses and Code Blue events. As an active member of the interdisciplinary Cardiac Rehab team, the RN works collaboratively with Exercise Specialists, a Registered Dietician, Respiratory Therapy, and medical providers.

Requirements

• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing for Illinois.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to interpret EKG rhythm strips and assess cardiac medications and patients.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cardiac and pulmonary patient management.
• Two years of clinical cardiac nursing experience.
