About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehabilitation develops individualized care plans based on patients’ clinical diagnoses, delivers and monitors therapies, and adapts care in response to patient progress and medication effects. The role includes educating patients and families, coordinating updates with the multidisciplinary care team, and responding to resuscitation codes with life-support interventions. The position is based at Ascension Seton Highland Lakes in Burnet, Texas, and is full-time on the day shift.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing, obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop personalized treatment plans and intervention frequencies based on their clinical diagnoses.
• Implement complex care modalities, manage specialized equipment, and monitor patient progress to optimize pulmonary outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate treatment efficacy and medication responses, update care plans, and communicate real-time updates to the multidisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and caregivers about health conditions, self-management techniques, and community support resources.
• Respond to resuscitation codes and provide critical life-support interventions during urgent patient events.
