Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology Stroke/Complex Med-Surg
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro and Medical provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate communication, and nursing skills to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is based on the 32-bed Neurology Stroke/Medical Unit at Advocate Condell Medical Center, a recognized Primary Stroke Center in Libertyville, Illinois. The unit has a collaborative team of nurses ranging from new graduates to experienced professionals, supported by nursing assistants. This is a full-time, day-shift position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
