Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology/Complex Med-Surg
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) works on the 32-bed Neurology Stroke/Medical Unit at Advocate Condell Medical Center, a recognized Primary Stroke Center in Libertyville, Illinois. The role is full time on nights, with three 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends and holidays. The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse applies evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate care, and communication skills to help create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum. The unit has a collaborative and supportive team of nurses with a range of experience, as well as nursing assistants with diverse skills and perspectives. Advocate Condell Medical Center is the largest health care provider and only Level I Trauma Center in Lake County, offering a full spectrum of medical services. The hospital also houses Lake County’s first and only comprehensive Trauma Recovery Center and an emergency department accredited in geriatric and pediatric care.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
