About The Position

The Registered Nurse works on the 21-bed Observation/Medical Stroke Med Surg Unit (3W) at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. The fast-paced unit is located on the hospital’s third floor; rooms are private and centrally monitored when clinically indicated. The unit provides care for adult patients with a range of conditions, including neurological stroke, infectious diseases, other medical conditions, and some cardiac conditions. Patients typically stay from 48 hours to four days. Nurses work with interdisciplinary teams to address patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs, while emphasizing clinical expertise, evidence-based practice, patient safety, and positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing; BSN or ADN.
• BLS provider certification accredited by the American Heart Association before hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license before hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
