About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers, directs, and supervises care for patients admitted to the nursing unit, using the nursing process under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and connection to community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as Charge Nurse; Charge Nurses must have current ACLS certification.

Requirements

Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
Current BLS certification; certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process.

Teach patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
Access community resources for patients.
