About The Position

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care. In alignment with Nursing Leadership, the Charge Nurse provides leadership in collaboration with medical, ancillary, and support staff to maintain nursing practice standards in the clinical setting. The role serves as a clinical and leadership resource and a role model for staff. The position is at Corpus Christi Rehab and is listed as full-time nights. Requirements

Current RN license in the state of application.
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU roles; the posting also states ACLS is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
Two years of experience in direct patient care.
One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
