About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care. Duties include interdisciplinary care planning, discharge planning, teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization care, and accessing community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as a Charge Nurse when appropriately certified.

Requirements

RN license in the state where applying.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment; it is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurse duties.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
Comfort working with ventilators, tracheostomies, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Responsibilities
