About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice registered nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including critical care assignments, and may work in a variety of practice settings locally, regionally, or nationally. This assignment is at Trinity Health Muskegon, is scheduled for 13 weeks, and has night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week. The gross hourly rate is $66. Nurses must be qualified and willing to float throughout a hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions. The role calls for independent, accountable nursing practice within the nurse’s license, knowledge, experience, and specialty scope, along with collaboration, adaptability, and a commitment to quality and person-centered care.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
At least two years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within licensure, knowledge, experience, and specialty scope.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
