About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice registered nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including critical positions arising from unforeseen circumstances or extended leaves of absence. This local contract assignment is based at Trinity Health Livingston and is for 13 weeks, with a 3x12 night schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The gross hourly rate is $71. The position offers opportunities to work in a variety of practice settings, with travel within a local region or nationally based on the clinician’s choice. The role is intended for an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown registered nurse and requires flexibility to float across the hospital and potentially multiple locations or regions.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
• At least 18 months of recent clinical experience in Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as qualified and willing.
• Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Practice independently and appropriately within licensure, scope of knowledge, and experience.
• Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
• Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
• Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
