About The Position
The Neuro ICU Unit at Deaconess Gateway is a specialized 32-bed unit with 19 ICU beds and 13 Stepdown beds. It cares for patients recovering from cranial surgeries, neuro-endovascular procedures, strokes, and other neurological conditions, as well as critically ill medical patients. As part of a team within a certified Primary Stroke Center, the nurse works alongside skilled providers and nurses in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment, developing advanced assessment, critical thinking, and critical care expertise while contributing to patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients recovering from cranial surgeries, neuro-endovascular procedures, strokes, and other neurological conditions, as well as critically ill medical patients.
- Work alongside providers and nurses as part of a certified Primary Stroke Center team.
